Roseanne Barr Says She Begged ABC Not to Cancel Roseanne

ABC has canceled "Roseanne" following star Roseanne Barr's racist tweet about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett.

Roseanne Barr hasn't finished pleading her case after a controversial week. (Warning: Mature language used in the article's headline).

The host admitted that Barr is a friend of his before labeling her tweet both "abhorrent" and "bordering on presidential".

Reached on Friday afternoon, Shmuley declined to comment on the podcast or on Barr's recent controversy.

"Do you regret your Twitter post?" Referring to her conversation with Sherwood, she said in a now-deleted tweet, "He said: what were you thinking when you did this?"

Whether a Roseanne-free "Roseanne" actually becomes reality remains to be seen, but there are some compelling reasons why ABC would take the notion very seriously: in addition to the millions the network will lose in ad revenue, the absence of the network's biggest hit will throw its recently announced fall lineup into disarray.

Barr responded, "Have a nice day. Tomorrow is Shabbat and I will continue to pray that everything for everyone goes forward & ends well for all. signing off twitter for a while. love u guys!" "I believe in one law for all people, I love all people".

In a a now-deleted tweet, Barr tweeted that she pleaded with Disney-ABC Television Group President Ben Sherwood "2 let me apologize & make amends". "I begged them not to cancel the show", she tweeted. "I told them I was willing to do anything & asked [for] help in making things right". "I begged4 ppls jobs". Whether or not they'll rush a totally new and separate show starring John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf into production remains unclear (and also super risky, as the fall TV season is just a few months away).

We're told Sara's been calling cast members to gauge their interest in the event ABC gives the reboot the green light. The show's reruns were pulled from Hulu and she was also dropped by her talent agency.

Barr originally apologized for her comments on Twitter.

"Only she knows for sure", Rogan said of these claims. "Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste".
