Titled "Access to Google experts", the company notes that this feature is born out of how "People who use a lot of storage tend to use a lot of other Google products".

In addition to the owner, up to five members of his family can benefit from the benefits of the Google One cloud storage.

According to the new Google One plans, the first 15 GB is free for all the users, so does the 100 GB plan which cost $1.99 per month, there is a new plan of 200 GB for $ 2.99. Subscribers to this plan will be automatically upgraded to Google One's 2TB plan at no additional charge. Since people are storing more than ever before, and cloud based services expanding day by day: "We're introducing Google One, a simple plan for expanded storage that includes extra benefits to help you get more out of Google", the California based giant added. The company looks forward to adding more affordable plans in the future. The new plans offer a wider variety of storage options at an lower pricing. Just to mention, Google Drive and Dropbox are top competitors which provide cloud storage services for their clients. The corporation explains the need for such a step by the growth of the popularity of high-quality digital video in 4K resolution, for storage of which the disk quota on the old tariff plans is clearly not enough. As clarified by Google, in the starting phase, Google One will be accessible on a special basis and if the customer is a premium user for Drive, they will be migrated to Google One in the months to come. All google consumer services, including drive, YouTube Red, and play music or whatever becomes of that, available with a single subscription. So while Google One brings together all of the company's storage plans, including resurrecting dead ones, this will also allow users to have easy access to Google's live support as well. Aside from this nomenclature nuance, however, Google One is being updated with new features and cheaper prices. There will also be a feature of one-click customer support, accessible across various Google applications. But, with this move, Google Drive can attract more customers. The service is now live in the USA but will slowly expand to other regions later this year.

Over the past couple of years there have been some hints about Google beginning a shift towards selling services, besides things like Gmail and Search.
