Michael Hayes is a Memphis, Tennessee real estate investor who posted a amusing but sad video of the angry woman berating, threatening him and rushing him out of the neighborhood, reports the Daily Mail.

In the video, Hayes explains he was at the home, which is in shabby condition, to inspect it.

The Memphis Police Department, whose officers are seen in the video explaining to the neighbor that Hayes had a right to be on the property, released a statement saying the video shows the officers responding to a complaint in a professional way.

Sadly, a story of a white woman calling the cops on a black man for existing in what she considers her white space is very common in America. "We are thankful to Mr. Hayes for recording a positive interaction with MPD officers and for sharing the true image of what our officers represent".

"The neighbor ran outside as I was removing the board from the door of the vacant house".

The officer, soon joined by a second officer, seems to be convinced that Hayes has done nothing wrong and tells him that if he has anymore problems with the woman to call him back over to the house "and she will go to jail today".

Hayes then requested the officers to stay outside till he goes in the house and inspects it because he was not comfortable with the white woman around.

"You keep the camera rolling".

But the neighbor he accused of harassing him because he is black says he was acting suspiciously at a vacant property known to attract crime - and she wasn't the one who dialed the police. "If you have any problems with her, what I want you to do is call me back over here", the officer tells Hayes.

"You know why the lady called the police on me", he said in the video.

The Pauls Valley Democrat reports that the woman, identified as Tiffany Albert, says she was made to look like a racist in the video.

'Just go in there and do what you gotta do and hurry up.

"He can take all day", the officer replied to her.

He also alluded that the woman called the police on him simply because of his race. "If you try to do anything to stop him, I'm going to take you to jail".

Concerned about his safety, Hayes then asked the cops to stick around for a few minutes while he took his pictures.

"I'm Spanish", Albert told the local news station. "But at the end of the day, she did not just want me in her neighborhood".
