The official test for new Sanhok map in PUBG has begun and this was the moment that many players were waiting for.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite, the two premiere battle royale games now available on the market, aren't just a passing fad according to a statement by headset manufacturer Turtle Beach.

"The [battle royale] games are a lot of fun, snackable, and have a lot of team play, and it's very clear to the players that playing these games with headsets provides a survival advantage because you can hear the audio cues better".

Several players have noted the golden chests on Reddit (via Kotaku), though it seems only two locations have been found so far, one in a rock formation by Bootcamp Alpha and another in the forest northeast of the Ruins. Interestingly enough, it looks as if there is now no way for players to actually interact with the object, with many speculating that they could just be an Easter egg for the time being.

There's a chance that the mystery will unravel once the full version of the map makes it to the live game and servers, but until then we can't help but thinking what kind of objective and rewards these new chests might serve. Games like Dying Light have already done so, and Cliff Blezinski's recently closed studio BossKey Productions attempted to create a Battle Royale game of their own in Radical Heights.
