"You aren't a big fan of doing press and talk shows, so thank you for being here", Ellen told her spouse of almost 10 years.

Of course, he made a decision to write her character into a few episodes anyway, so the fifth season of Arrested Development, in which she plays Lindsay Bluth, will be her last acting job. "I kinda knew what acting would look like for me for the next 10 or 20 years".

That's because Rossi says that she's done with acting.

Australian actor Portia de Rossi has announced she has quit acting in order to start her own business. Shonda Rhimes wrote me off Scandal, it was fine.

"I called Mitch Hurwitz, who created Arrested Development, and I said if there is a Season 5, I won't be doing it because I quit acting".

We're very happy that we get to see her play Lindsay in at least 5 more episodes of the show. "Don't know how it happened".

"No. What it means is they want you to do season six", Ellen joked. "I was just kind of wondering if there was something that I could tackle now that I've never done before that would be really challenging and different".

Walking away from Hollywood seems like a major move, however, she has everything planned and ready to go as she says her next venture will be in art.

Following the premiere of the comedy's new season on May 29, Portia will instead focus growing her business, General Public, an art curation and publishing company that uses 3-D printing. "Rather than the traditional flat print, we print with all the texture and articulation in the original painting, so it's actually really hard to tell the difference".
