OnePlus 6 Durability Test Will Leave Fans Pleased

The OnePlus 6 is finally official and our first impressions of the phone seem promising, but how durable is the new phone with its glossy glass back? And we are certainly glad to share that OnePlus 6 passes the extensive scratch, burn, and bend test with flying colours.

Granted, you'll notice quite a bit of flex if you do attempt to snap the OnePlus 6 in half, but thankfully, both the metal frame and Gorilla Glass 5 rear hold up well against a decent amount of pressure. This happens to be the same score as the one that the OnePlus 5T achieved. The glass starts showing damage at level 6, with deeper marks appearing at level 7, which is pretty much what was expected. However, what makes this screen so great are the wallpapers that OnePlus has included on the OnePlus 6. The new model is also touted to offer "daily water resistance", though the company hasn't revealed any IP rating to support its claim. The rear side of the phone also features Gorilla Glass 5 panel. The smartphone also has the "invincible" fingerprint scanner that protects from scratches, even from the ones that come from a razor blade. The screen was then exposed to an open flame, which it survived for roughly 20 seconds, following which the pixels beneath the exposed area stopped responding permanently.

Will it survive the now-standard durability testing put forth by Zack from YouTube channel JerryRigEverything? The manufacturer has added a cushion layer of soft plastic between the glass and metal frame.
