Last week, Jack Black announced that the pair were also working on the sequel to 2006 movie The Pick Of Destiny. A release date has not yet been determined, but the band said that it "probably" come out sometime this year. Because not only have fans been waiting for a new Tenacious D album since 2012's Rize of the Fenix, but also the rent is due.

After the group were announced yesterday for the Foo Fighters' upcoming Cal Jam 18, Tenacious D today released a (rather cheaply) animated teaser video which indicated that they've got new music on the way.

Tenacious D, the comedy/rock band of Jack Black and Kyle Gass is going back on tour for the first time in five years.

There's even more good news, as I alluded to: they haven't confirmed it yet, but it looks like they're trying to have a new album done by the end of this year. There's only two rock operas.

Tenacious D's album release schedule could definitely be called "infrequent".
