S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was first announced around eight years ago in 2010 with a scheduled release in 2012.

An official website is up, but there's no info there aside from a 2021 release window. Besides the number and moniker, nothing else has been announced yet. GSC Game World came back to life in 2014, but instead of a new Stalker, it made Cossacks 3.

If you are a fan of survival horror and first person shooters, we highly recommend you check out this franchise and keep an eye on the further development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2! The game is set in a world where there was a second nuclear disaster in Chernobyl.

Another S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sequel is underway at GSC Game World.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was then cancelled, and GSC scattered to the radiation-poisoned winds.

It appears that a full sequel in the STALKER franchise is in the works as confirmed by series developer GSC Game World. Galyonkin implied that the game may be using Epic's Unreal Engine.

The last mystery worth bringing up is, will GSC Game World be the publisher of this game or will there be someone else helping the team? These mysterious happenings led to the creation of otherworldly Artifacts which can be quite valuable, leading to the venerable S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s to journey into the zone in search of grand fortune.
