Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra's film production company Purple Pebble Pictures is determined to make content driven regional films and their next project stays true to that principle.

Inspired by the true story of a common man and his village, Nagdarwadi, situated in the drought prone Marathwada region of Maharashtra; the film is said to be a beautifully woven tale of human struggle and true love, and aims to drive home a key message, critical to the world we live in today.

And now she has announced her fourth Marathi film, Paani, under her banner.

Adinath Kothare is the son of popular Marathi actor-producer Mahesh Kothare.

" there are many such stories that need to come to the surface and meet the audience in their true colours, we're (the production team) trying to fasten this very aspect only".

They also shared a motion poster of the film.

The Quantico star also tweeted about the same, saying "This is what I had envisioned when starting @PurplePebblePic.A platform for good stories & new talent".

Purple Pebble Pictures' previous Marathi productions include Ventilator (2016), directed by Rajesh Mapuskar; Kaay Re Rascala (2017), directed by Giridharan Swamy and the upcoming release Firebrand, directed by Aruna Raje.

After spending time overseas, shooting for her worldwide projects, Priyanka Chopra wants to focus on her domestic ventures. They captioned it, "We're happy to share that our 4th Marathi project, "Paani", will begin shooting soon!"

She will be seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in forthcoming drama "Bharat" helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
