Sanjeev Kumar Yadav has eight President Gallantry Awards to his name, including one for the Batla House Encounter operation.

Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani and writer Ritesh Shah are all set to collaborate yet again with a thriller drama titled Batla House. Nikkhil had last directed him in Salaam-E-Ishq, which also starred Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.

"John Abraham and director Nikkhil Advani team up again".

The ghastly encounter between 7 members of the Delhi police and 5 IM terrorists took place a week after five serial blasts rocked Delhi on 13 September 2008, killing at least 30 people and injuring over 100. The actor has now signed on to play the lead in their next film, based on the Batla House encounters in 2008. Was the encounter real or fake? As per reports, two suspected terrorists were gunned down and two other suspects were arrested while one accused escaped that day. So he made a decision to rope in John, whose flash of dimples, according to Nikkhil, makes him stand out from the crowd.

Talking about the Movie, Nikkhil Advani said to the Ahmedabad Mirror that the movie will showcase the encounter from 3 angles. "The biggest challenge will be to find the balance between duty and country, that fine line Sanjeev Kumar Yadav walk so perfectly and project it on screen".

"We are thrilled to announce @nikkhiladvani's next directorial venture starring @TheJohnAbraham in story of one of the most talked-about police operation in recent times, the encounter at L-18 Batla house". He spearheaded the Operation Batla House, a decade ago.

John Abraham is now gearing up for the release of his film Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran and is also starring in Milaap Zaveri directed thriller Satyamev Jayate.
