President Rouhani said the U.S. administration and the Zionist regime should be held accountable for the massacre of people in the region and said "unfortunately, the USA president has made grave miscalculation about regional issues thinking that it can put down Palestinian uprising by supporting the Zionist regime".

Besides, "the Zionist regime (of Israel) and the United States can not separate the Muslims from their land of al-Quds (Jerusalem)", he insisted. "This is a grave mistake", continued the President. "Therefore, this holy land can not be separated from the 1.5 billion population of Muslims of the world by political games". "The Zionist regime is not committed to morality and even to global regulations, and understands only force", Rouhani said addressing the cabinet, as quoted by the Tasnim news agency.

"The Zionist regime and the United States assume that by exercising more pressure, they can deny the Palestinian nation its legitimate right or can separate the world's Muslims from their [holy] land of al-Quds", the president said.

He officially invited his Iranian counterpart to attend the OIC summit in Istanbul and said the Muslim world should unanimously follow up the plight of the Palestinians in the worldwide arenas.

He said that it is the United States, rather than Iran, that needs to be accused of wrongdoing.

"They think they can make the Iranian nation surrender by putting pressures on Iran, by sanctions and even threats of war..."

"The other achievement was removal of sanctions to serve national interests, which we might have achieved 80 per cent of what we wished but it is important that in interaction and negotiation with major western countries, including the USA which has had hostility towards the Iranian people, problems may arise. Today, the U.S. has violated worldwide regulations and must be put under pressure".

President Donald Trump expected Tehran to leave the nuclear deal after the USA withdrawal, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday.
