Fortnite Patch v4.2 Officially Delayed Due to Unknown Issues

The Fortnite update was originally scheduled to be released on Tuesday with servers going offline then. So, as a result, "some quests may not function until the build releases".

Oops. No official announcement about a Fortnite for Nintendo Switch edition have been made, meaning Iron Galaxy likely just let the secret out early.

'V4.2 is releasing tomorrow, May 16.

The Fortnite 4.2 patch notes have yet to be released, as they will coincide with the launch of the v4.2 update. "Downtime begins at 4am ET (08:00 GMT)".

Also, the removal of the Infinity Gauntlet Mode is a big change a'happening, as the limited edition mashup comes to an end. There hasn't been an update on when this downtime will now take place, though Epic has stated that it will be informing players when the developer has a time nailed down.

Pundits have predicted a new Burst Assault rifle will be thrown into the mix with the update for PS4, Xbox One and mobile, after being bombarded with hints as they now played Battle Royale.

Epic Games, the maker of Fortnite, isn't commenting.

The addition of the Burst Assault Rifle will mark the first new balistic weapon added to Fortnite Battle Royale since the Light Machine Gun, which boasted a much higher fire rate and ammo capacity than the current Assault Rifles, at the cost of range and accuracy.

According to stats from Hookit.com, that is more that sports superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, LeBron James and Lionel Messi.
