YouTube TV voice remote feature appears in app for some users

Some users have spotted a new feature, though, called Voice Remote that does exactly what its name implies.

YouTube for iOS has rolled out a new feature to remind viewers to "take a break" from the app, a feature highlighted by Google as their recent I/O developer conference, to balance technology in people's lives.

At the moment, the "voice remote" feature appears to only be available on mobile devices, not on other devices that support the YouTube TV app such as Android TV. Users will be able to access the voice remote from the floating action button which is present in the Android app.

Select the microphone icon anywhere you see it in the YouTube TV app. You can also skip around in recorded programs and control the volume by voice. Not all users are seeing the feature at this time, as noted by Android Police, which acquired the screenshot above.

YouTube TV has proven to be a pretty big success for Google, and the company continues to improve the product as we move forward.

We're not seeing this option live yet on any of our devices just yet, but it does seem to be rolling out in a limited capacity, likely ahead of a much larger rollout.
