Newcastle United manager Rafael Benítez believes Mohamed Salah is more hard to stop than Lionel Messi, saying the Egyptian has more mobility.

Mohamed Salah broke the record for most amount of goals in one 38 game Premier league season against Brighton yesterday by bagging his 32 league goal of the campaign.

He also managed to land the PFA Player of the Year award and the Football Writers' Player of the Year, as well as winning Liverpool's Player of the Year award.

He has been highly praised this season for his talismanic performances for Liverpool, guiding them to a top four spot and a Champions League final.

However, Salah is insistent that he has yet to reach the level of either La Liga icon.

"Not at all", he told Egypt Today when asked if the comparisons bothered him. I hope I can do so. "They are great players and hopefully I become happy with these comparisons".

Messi has scored 45 goals in all competitions this season, while Ronaldo has netted 43.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, wrote his name into Tottenham Hotspur's record books, becoming the first player in the club's history to finish the season with 30 Premier League goals after scoring a brace in Spur's 5-4 against Leicester.

"All that I can say is that I'm happy to be here and I'm adapted to the prevailing atmosphere".
