On the Republican side, U.S. Rep. Louis Barletta of Luzerne County and state Rep. Jim Christiana of Beaver County are vying for that party's nomination.

For races related to Pennsylvania's General Assembly, there are no contests in the primary for either Democrats or Republicans.

People can register to vote at the polls, and new or unaffiliated voters can declare themselves Republican at that time if they wish to vote in the Republican primary.

"Lou Barletta was one of the very first people to get behind me in Pennsylvania", Trump says in the recording. In the 9th District, Gary Wegman of Berks County, Denny Wolff of Columbia County and Laura Quick of Lebanon County are seeking the Democratic nod.

Polls will close at 8 p.m.

The newly drawn 2nd District includes portions of Northeast Philadelphia stretching from approximately Spring Garden Street to Somerton. Ashford, 69, has the endorsement of the Democratic establishment, including the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and is portraying himself as the one who can win in a swing-voting district in November. Now it's majorly Democratic.

Democrats have choices for the U.S. House as well. Throughout most of the state, only registered Republicans and Democrats are eligible to vote in the primary.

Eileen McCormick is a Republican from Havertown.

Republican voters will see only one name, Mike Kelly of Butler County, the incumbent congressman for the region, who is seeking the nomination to try for a fifth term.

As far as local elections go, the biggest attention-getters are the Corvallis School District's $200 million bond measure and the six-way Democratic primary for the chance to succeed the retiring Anne Schuster on the Benton County Board of Commissioners.

If you have any questions about this, please contact Lewis and Clark County Election Office by calling 406-447-8339 or email, or ask the election judge at the polls.

Scott Wagner spoke after casting his ballot Tuesday morning in York. He says "lip service days are over". Three Republicans, Allegheny County lawyer Laura Ellsworth, Allegheny County businessman Paul Mango and York County state senator and businessman Scott Wagner, run for right to challenge Wolf in the General Election.

Statewide, the Republicans will choose a standard-bearer for their November match-up with Democratic incumbent Governor Kate Brown.

If he's beaten, Lt. Gov. Mike Stack would become the first officeholder to lose re-election since Pennsylvania allowed lieutenant governors to run for a second term in the 1970s. Only Republican voters have a contested race at the top of the ballot: There is a three-way Republican primary fight to be the GOP's gubernatorial nominee against incumbent Tom Wolf.

Voters throughout OR will make their voices known Tuesday night as the results will be announced on the myriad issues and candidates for various offices on the May 2018 primary ballot. The sleepier Republican contest for U.S. Senate could play a role come November in deciding whether Republicans maintain U.S. Senate control.

A clutch of both Democrats and Republicans are challenging one another in the lieutenant governor primary.

For true political junkies the evening of May 15 will offer a steady stream of returns, with polls closing at 8:00 p.m. EDT in Pennsylvania; 8:00 p.m. CDT in Nebraska, 8:00 p.m. MDT in Idaho, and (for the most part) 8:00 p.m. PDT in Oregon.
