According to Friendswood police, Christy Ann Churchwell, 35, was in the audience watching a school play Thursday night in the auditorium at Friendswood Junior High School.

Police said Christy Churchwell was so loud, she disrupted the show at Friendswood Junior High School. An officer approached Churchwell and asked her to speak with him outside.

As Churchwell was being walked to the squad auto, she pulled away, cursing loudly, and assaulted an officer by kicking him.

According to Click2Houston, the officer "immediately detected the strong smell of alcohol" on Churchwell and noticed that she was having trouble standing upright.

Once outside the of the auditorium where a play was going on, Churchwell allegedly "balled up her fists and aggressively advanced toward [an] officer", cursing him out and kicking him. She was then placed under arrest for public intoxication.

As the officer walked the woman to his auto, Churchwell is said to have pulled away from the officer before berating him and kicking him in the leg.

Then police took a look inside her purse and allegedly found eight 75 milliliter bottles of vodka, seven of which were empty.

Churchwell didn't drink booze at the school play, one of her family members told KPRC.

Churchwell, who faces charges of assault of a peace officer, filing a false report or alarm and public intoxication, was released from custody Friday after posting $7,500 bond, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The mother's tirade continued while behind bars when she purposefully set off the fire sprinkler in her jail cell, officials said.
