Students were throwing water balloons at around 7:50 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of West High School when a boy ran between parked cars and into the path of a vehicle whose driver, also a student, was looking for a parking space, West Superintendent David Truitt said in the statement. But on closer inspection, it's only a half of a auto, likely from a junk yard, sitting next to a black tarp and surrounded by bricks. Congratulations Class of 2018 on one of best senior pranks that Cumberland High School has seen.

The students - Konur Pasko, Cody Paul, Adrian Warner and Jacob Woodley - spent the weekend removing the engine, front seats and wiring so they could saw off the front portion of the auto.

Senior pranks are a rite of passage for many high school students across America. They gathered bricks at Konur Pasko's grandpa's house and then loaded the auto onto a trailer. Seven minutes later, they left the scene.

"My Dad and I have a shop at home and we build racing engines", said Pasko of his father Jon, a shop teacher at the school who may have lent the endeavor a little assistance.

"It was the talk of the town", Narges said. "We had people driving up here all day taking pictures".

With graduation season here, high school seniors across the country have begun the time-honored tradition trying to pull an epic prank before leaving.

"If this is the worst thing our kids are going to do, then we're really lucky", he said.
