Tornado watch issued for 7 NJ counties

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire Ohio Valley until 11 PM Saturday night.

The watch will be in place until 1 a.m. for the following counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem.

Parts of Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey are also part of the watch.

The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for Sullivan, Johnson, Russell and Washington counties, as well as the city of Bristol, Virginia.

By as early as 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., the region should expect gusty showers and potentially severe thunderstorms. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and hail are expected.
