The Tesla Model Y crossover is scheduled to enter production in 2020.

About 15 seconds in, the video cuts to a shot of a white vehicle that is mostly covered by a sheet, though a small portion of the vehicle's side and rear segments is visible. Tesla is facing a series of crises, a variety of lawsuits, interrogations over the safety of the autopilot feature and lagging production on the Model 3.

"Btw, planning to launch Tesla in Turkey later this year", Elon Musk said in a post on his Twitter account. The investor, Dieter Waizenegger, says he wants people less likely to defer to CEO Elon Musk.

The firm released two more models - the Model X SUV and Model 3 sedan - in September 2015 and July 2017, respectively.

The company Tesla before the end of this year will begin to sell its electric cars in Turkey.

The electric vehicle maker's new promotional video includes peeks at some of the projects it has in the works, including its Semi truck and upcoming Roadster sports auto.

The video follows a controversial earnings call, during which Musk refused to answer what he called "boring, bonehead", questions from Wall Street analysts, a move that shocked observers.
