Instead of giving a long-winded caption about how hard it's been or what he might have gone through over the last ten years in maintaining his sobriety, the caption was short and simple.

In late 2007, he nearly died from an accidental overdose of methadone after which he made a decision to get clean.

Ch-ch-check out the pic (below) to see Slim Shady looking about as happy as he could be showing off his decade of being sober!

Rapper Royce Da 5'9 took to Twitter congratulate his mentor on Friday, April 20, on his accomplishment.

"My organs were shutting down". They didn't think I was gonna make it.

"I was literally up for 24 hours a day for three weeks straight", he said. "My bottom was gonna be death".

Eminem, 45, has been open about his drug demons in recent years, after overcoming addictions to prescription pills like Vicodin, Valium, and Ambien. "I was close to 230 pounds". That certainly did get the best of me, with drugs and the pressure of all that (expletive).

"When I got out of rehab, I needed to lose weight, but I also needed to figure out a way to function sober", he added. "Unless I was blitzed out of my mind, I had trouble sleeping". I ran to the point where I started to get injured. It gave me a natural endorphin high, but it also helped me sleep, so it was flawless. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it introduced him to an exercise program which ended up replacing his need for drugs.

In the past, the rapper has not been one to hide the fact that he had struggled with addiction.
