Nevertheless, some of us who were there managed to pry some new info out of Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo and the others in attendance.

And now Marvel boss Feige has teased what fans can expect from the Spider-Man Homecoming sequel.

Revealing that filming is set to start in July, the Marvel chief said that shooting would take place in London due to the fact Peter will "spend time" outside the United States, in contrast to the first film which was set nearly entirely in NY. "And we shoot a lot of films in London but there's another reason we're shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in NY, but he'll spend some time in other parts of the globe". Speaking to io9 on Sunday, April 22, Kevin confirmed that "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" would not be set primarily in NY like its predecessor. We shot the first film in Atlanta.

Speaking to YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani (via Screen Rant), he gave what appeared to be a (vaguely) official line on things, considering he's speaking on behalf of the studio. "And we shoot a lot of films in London but there's another reason we're shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in NY, but he'll spend some time in other parts of the globe". There is a new report that says Peter (Tom Holland) will be heading across the Atlantic once more. Perhaps Peter is taking part in a foreign exchange program.

There was a rumor saying that Marvel was looking for a 20-year-old French actress to play a "femme fatale".

Or, it is being speculated online that Peter Parker's adversary in Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (it won't be called that) might be Kraven the Hunter, so Spidey could be traveling to remote areas of the globe to take the famed big-game hunter down... though Kraven first came to New York City to hunt Spidey, so that would be a game flip.

The problem with Spider-Man movie titles is working out how to do a sequel to a character that's already been rebooted twice.

One can only imagine what takes Peter Parker - and his superhero alter ego - from his borough in Queens to the streets of London. On another note, the upcoming VENOM film starring Tom Hardy is being exclusively produced by Sony Pictures and will be separate from Spider-Man and the Avengers.

The answer is likely to become clear this summer once filming on the next Spider-Man movie gets underway for its July 5, 2019 release.
