Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz reached Islamabad from London in the wee hours of Monday, Dunya News reported.

Speaking to media outside the accountability court, he said "Sirajul Haq said orders came from the "top" following which votes were cast in Senate election". Imran Khan should reprimand himself as on whose orders he voted in the Senate elections and tell the nation about Chaudhry Sarwar, he added.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam and son-in-law MNA Capt (retd) Safdar appeared before the accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir, after they landed back from London - where Kulsoom Nawaz is undergoing treatment.

Nawaz and his family are facing three corruption cases in the accountability court after the National Accountability Bureau filed references against them in light of the Supreme Court's verdict in the Panama Papers case.

They had reached Islamabad from London on Monday after the court had rejected their exemption pleas.

Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are now in London to inquire after the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and the next hearing of the case is set for April 23.

During his stay in the United Kingdom, the former premier met Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former finance minister Ishaq Dar to discuss the prevailing political situation and a caretaker set-up for the upcoming general elections.
