While the Italian has maintained that he will honour his contract with Chelsea, there have been suggestions that the Blues are actively seeking a replacement and Conte himself is keen to find his way out of the club.

The Blues have reportedly held informal discussions over a host of potential signings already ahead of the summer transfer window, but that could all be scuppered if they don't clear up who will be in charge next season.

Despite seeing a manager of Luis Enrique's calibre join rivals Arsenal after their demise in recent years, the prospect of seeing either Sarri or Allegri joining Chelsea is exciting to say the least.

Sarri, who has only ever coached in Serie A so far, saw his Napoli outfit lead the Italian league for most of the season, but surrendered top spot to Turin giants Juventus last month.

Napoli have emerged as one of the most vibrant attacking sides in Europe under Sarri's charge, meanwhile, and the 59-year-old, who is expected to leave at the end of the season, is said to be favourite of Roman Abramovich, who has grown exhausted of Conte's defensive football.

Chelsea are still in the process of scouting a new manager to replace Conte, while the Italian's representatives are also attempting to secure alternative employment for him.

Do you think it is time for Conte to step aside?
