Former Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely apologized for a photo he posted via Twitter on Saturday featuring him holding a gun while standing in between his daughter and her prom date. "My Daughter has dated her boyfriend for over a year and they knew I was joking", he wrote.

With the hashtag #BadBoys, Feely is clearly making a reference to a scene in Bad Boys II where the main characters threaten a 15-year-old boy taking one of their daughter's on a date.

Meanwhile, another simply posted: "Oh yay - American dads have kicked off the season of "let's pretend I'm going to shoot my daughter's date for for impugning her chastity" pics".

Jay Feely explains a photo he shared on Twitter that created a bit of a stir. However, with the recent uptick in gun control debates, some people felt that Feely's photo was distasteful - and inappropriate. Feely also pointed out that the gun wasn't loaded and didn't have a clip inside, adding he didn't mean to be insensitive about the subject, which is a hot topic these days.

A dad over in the United States has managed to piss off more than his daughter recently after sharing what some are calling an inappropriate pre-prom photo. The boy in the photo is his daughter's boyfriend, and he was apparently in on the joke.

In 2014, Feely joined CBS Sports as a college football analyst for CBS Sports Network, eventually moving into the booth for NFL games.
