Overwatch PTR Update Reworks Hanzo; Here Are The Patch Notes

However, now it's becoming a new standard escort map, being tested now on Overwatch PTR server.

The biggest feature of this Overwatch PTR update though is the infamous Hanzo rework. Gone are the days of his Scatter Arrow, which could annihilate nearly any target with minimal aim and score some very questionable eliminations. Fortunately - and unfortunately for some of us - Hanzo's Scatter Arrow is gone, giving its place to Storm Arrows, a new focused ability that fires 6 lower damage arrows but are always fires at maximum power. "Hanzo is now much more mobile with his new Lunge ability, and with the combination of the bow projectile speed increase and the new Storm Arrows ability he can now deal his high damage more consistently than ever before".

Brigitte, the game's newest hero, has had her Shield Bash's cone angle reduced from 90 to 60.

He will also be getting a new "Lunge" ability, which lets Hanzo jump horizontally while in the air.

Moving on, Junkrat's projectile size has been decreased from 0.3 to 0.2, and his tire movement speed has been decreased by 1. You can also get a much better look with the flythrough above.

This PTR update also makes some other bug fixes and tweaks. It's unexpected and has not even been mentioned as a project yet by Blizzard, but it bodes well that the dev team is willing to adjust their creations so heavily based on community feedback.

A new patch was released on the PTR today, and some popular heroes are on the receiving end of some serious changes. After acknowledging "that wasn't supposed to happen", Blizzard's David Adams says that "We have some changes that we are still working on and testing for the map so what you are seeing here may not be final".
