Capcom has released something of a Puzzle Fighter timeline that will cover people until the game ends. The publisher announced that it will remove the puzzle game from app stores on July 1, while the option to spend money on in-app purchases will be disabled on April 23.

Released only a few months ago at the end of past year, Capcom's Puzzle Fighter brought together the many familiar faces and franchises from across Capcom's properties together into a free-to-play mobile experience, though it appears that the game will be coming to an end this summer. Regina and Dr. Wily will be available today, while Ada Wong and the new stages will be available on April 23. As you can read in the official statement below, the official reason is that Capcom Vancouver will now focus its resources on the Dead Rising franchise. In an official blog post, the company said it chose to end support for the game so development studio Capcom Vancouver could be "dedicating its focus to our flagship Dead Rising franchise".

Current players will be gifted 10,000 in-game gem currency today, and upcoming characters (Regina, Wily, and Ada Wong) and stages (Darminor and Uroboros Laboratory) will be available for free. The game's soundtrack has been fully uploaded to Soundcloud today as well.

And to make the remaining time with the game a little bit sweeter, the Classic Mode special limited event will run from now until the servers close at the end of July.

Firstly, we'd like to thank all the fans who have supported and enjoyed our Puzzle Fighter mobile game thus far.
