Nick Foles, Eagles agree to revised deal with '19 option

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports the Eagles have reached an agreement with QB Nick Foles on a revised contract. He'll also receive a $2 million signing bonus. Foles would ultimately go on to lead Philadelphia to its first ever Super Bowl title. With Wentz's playing style, it's no guarantee he lasts a full 16-game schedule anyway. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said as much recently.

If Foles spends the entire 2018 season as a back-up, though, there's a good change he at least explores his options on the free agent market in 2019. Garafolo noted that the contract is a result of Foles' playoff performance and not related to Carson Wentz's rehab from a torn ACL.

The deal will give Foles a raise from the $4 million base salary he was set to earn next season and hand him some major incentives moving forward.

Foles is in Philadelphia now for off-season work-outs.
