LG is having quite a odd year after first delaying the G7 ThinQ. Recently, it was reported that the South Korean company is also working on a smartphone called LG V35 ThinQ.

LG V40 is codenamed Storm. But most surprising, Blass claims that LG will then release the V40 ThinQ later this summer or early fall.

LG is gearing up to announce its latest flagship Android phone on 2 May but that doesn't stop the rumour mill talking about the next one.

Blass has not revealed any information on the specifications of the LG V40. The V30S ThinQ was launched in February this year and came with the first of its kind AI technology suite that packed the company's QLens, AI Cam, Voice AI and Vision AI. This suggest that the LG V40 may debut at the end of August or early September probably through IFA 2018 tech trade show in Berlin, Germany. We have heard rumors that the LG G7 could be launched soon, but no specific dates have been given yet. Chances are it will use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and if LG's recent practices are anything to go by, we could be getting the same ThinQ branding/treatment where LG could focus on introducing AI features to the phone. There will be a dual camera setup at the back aligned vertically like in the iPhone X.
