Agony, the hellish first-person survival horror title from Madmind, a studio comprising former The Witcher 3, The Division, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 devs, will be launching on 29th May. After being successfully funded on Kickstarter, the game (complete with weird sights and sounds) is finally coming in its finished form this summer.

"By exploring the hostile environment and interacting with other tired souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require meeting the mystical Red Goddess". There are plenty of not-so-friendly looking creatures awaiting you there, probably waiting to rip you to shreds, after all.

A new teaser trailer revealed the extremely terrifying scenery and cursed creatures in-store for players who are courageous enough to explore Agony's twisted realms. You'll journey through what looks to be a gleefully dark story mode, but there's also an open challenge system that has you finishing out different survival-based tasks to achieve a high score.

Disturbing horror game Agony missed it's original release date of March 30th but we won't have to wait too much longer to delve in to the game as it's out on May 29th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The players takes control of an unknown character who is thrown into hell.
