Google starts Dutch beta test for Google Assistant

The LG Electronics Wi-Fi connected smart appliances are now compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, the company announced.

For the time being, the test will only focus on the use of the voice assistant on Android smartphones, and not yet for the smart speakers with which smart home devices can be controlled via Google Home. In the global scope, LG is certainly one of the largest and it is good to have smart appliances that give you choices for voice commands.

Some of the SmartThinQ appliances receiving such support include the following: refrigerators, air conditioners, vacuums, air purifiers, washers, dryers, ranges, and dishwashers among others. LG's ecosystem has always been open to other platforms as this allows its smart products to extend its features and functions. For end users this means that they can pre heat their microwaves, start your washing machine and more remotely, right from the smartphone.

Many appliance makers support voice assistant and some supports multiple voice assistant, Now LG appliance joined the group that supports multiple voice assistant. In addition, since Google Assistant can differentiate voice of different users, it will also be able to customise itself according to their interests. LG past year started working towards integrating AI in their appliances.
