But the duo did just that, and the crown jewel of the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes to theaters on April 27. According to a new report there's a big death featured in the very first act of the film, which will set the tone for the rest of the movie.

Joe Russo on directing Avengers Infinity War had earlier said, "We have worked together for decades".

Ticket presales for Avengers: Infinity War featuring dozens of Marvel heroes including Iron Man, Captain America and Thor in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the studio have already surpassed 410,000 in South Korea.

When the first Guardians of the Galaxy film was released in 2014, fans were desperate to see the ragtag band led by Chris Pratt's Star Lord make their way into The Avengers' world, and in Infinity War, that is what they'll finally get to see. For example, we know that Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Terry Notary will be playing two other members of the Black Order.

The summer box-office provides the year's flashiest films, usually filled with CGI and over-the-top action sequences.

And the video climaxes with a brief glimpse of a future Marvel hero, Brie Larson, who will appear as Captain Marvel in her own movie in 2019. At an event in Singapore during the promotions of Avengers: Infinity War last week, Robert Downey Jr told NDTV.com, "Marvel hasn't even told me what the end of this movie is". Well, probably not, as it's more than likely that Mackie is just mocking his pal Sebastian Stan's character, much as Sam does to Bucky in the films themselves.

Does this approach to the tone get you more excited for Avengers: Infinity War or would you prefer a heavier film? It also boasts the franchise's largest ensemble of heroes assembling to face their most powerful foe yet - a giant purple space jerk named Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. He did his bit and then a lot of stuff with a lot of us and him was missing because, I guess, he was doing Deadpool 2 and I was doing Melrose and The Current War.
