Advocate: Saints to host Falcons on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving tables across south Louisiana this November will be filled with dirty bird jokes.

The league announced Monday night games will start 15 minutes earlier than in past seasons, at 7:15 p.m. CT instead of 7:30 p.m.

The New Orleans Saints should figure to be tabbed for a prime-time game or two outside the Thursday game almost all teams play once per season.

An intense rivalry among the fan bases, its been featured on the national stage a lot in recent years.

The Saints face Philadelphia, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and the Rams along with two games each against Carolina and Atlanta, meaning 8 total games against 2017 playoff teams. Next season will make it ten in a dozen years.

On Thursday, The New Orleans Advocate reported that the Saints will host the Falcons this season at 7:20 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
