Since last week, rumours have been rife that the teaser of the biopic would be launched on 24 April. The match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Though, we did get to see some leaked pictures of Ranbir in make up as Sanjay Dutt to be honest, he looked phenomenal, however, a high-definition version of the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor performing on-screen would be worth the wait. Ranbir Kapoor's striking transformation into Sanjay Dutt has been taking the internet by storm for quite some time now, and with this Rajkumar Hirani movie slated for release soon, fans are expecting the first look and teaser to be out anytime now. According to a report in mid-day, the makers are planning to launch the teaser on a leading channel that airs the cricket match.

Their source adds that the makers are eyeing the possibility of Ranbir, Sanjay Dutt and Rajkumar launching the teaser at the Wankhede Stadium. Hirani will be the moderator for this 30-minute chat with the two stars. Hirani will also speak on how hard it was to pen an engrossing script, especially since Sanjay's life has been widely covered by the press. This marks a big push for the biopic and can be owned to its producers Fox Star and the recent merger of 21st Century Fox and Disney.

The full-fledged trailer of the film will be attached to Hollywood's superhero film, Avenders: Infinity War which releases on 27 April.

Starring an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Sonam Kapoor amongst others, the film is undoubtedly one of the most awaited flicks of the year. He revealed, "I am really keeping my fingers crossed for Sanjay Dutt biopic, it was an altogether different experience shooting for the film".

The film was earlier scheduled to release in December but the last official word was that the release date had been set for June 29.
