Shazier, who is rehabilitating from a serious spinal injury sustained in December, stood up and led Ohio State fans in a cheer at the school's annual spring game in Columbus, Ohio. Will he win the starting quarterback job, or is he destined to be featured in certain packages while serving as the team's primary backup? Coach Urban Meyer said the competition is close. "Those decisions have not been made", Meyer said.

The public got to witness the three-man race between Dwayne Haskins Jr. "We've only gotten better since we've gotten here. I'm going to scour some statistical data", he said.

"It's a good feeling to be on the field, but it hurts for a second", he told the team's website.

Haskins says he thinks he has offered enough proof he should be the starter.

"We're all fighting for the same thing and we all know that", Haskins said.

That's how Ohio State's Scarlet vs. "The people at Ohio State loved me before I got hurt".

"Now some decisions have to be made. You have to meet with your coaches, see what they're thinking, what you're thinking and meet the middle". "I'm going to keep doing what I have to do until it's no longer a question". I put everything into it. We have a lot of guys that left to go to the National Football League, but we have a good program and I know they will come back even stronger. "I want to play somewhere".

"I came here to play". "I didn't come here to sit on the bench for four years".

The therapists are like, 'Man this is insane; I've never seen anyone work this hard.' They nearly see progression every day. "I've put so much into this. If I were to leave, it would be pretty devastating for me, but I would understand". "I was very happy with how they handled it".

While several other programs opted to call off their spring games due to ominous weather forecasts, the Buckeyes moved their game up a few hours to largely avoid the impending raindrops. It is very valuable.

"Obviously, we feel like we have elite talent", Campbell said.

Ohio State will return its top six receivers from last season. That was Objective No. 1. "You're seeing the ball come out a lot faster".

Martell will likely play a role for Ohio State in 2018; it is just a matter of what it will be.

But the junior took his best shot during the spring.

As most National Football League players are, Shazier still holds an allegiance to his alma mater and follows their success or failure on the field, expressing optimism in the Buckeyes' future.

"He was outstanding this spring. If he continues his development he could be one of the best at what he does in America".
