It has managed to dethrone Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No. 150 to become the third highest earning film. It is the third highest grossing Telugu film after Baahubali. The massive Rs 28.8 crore opening day gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was more than twice of Ram Charan's previous best opener Bruce Lee - The Fighter, helmed by Sreenu Vaitla.

The Ram Charan starrer has collected approximately Rs 13 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its third weekend, taking its 17-day total collection to Rs 178 crore gross. Again, a non-Baahubali record for Tollywood. The first two slots are occupied by "Baahubali-The Conclusion" and "Baahubali-The Beginning". However, another factor is also played crucial role. Besides recovering their investments, the movie has earned them a profit share of Rs 32 crore. The film within four days managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club, thus becoming the sixth fastest south film to enter the prestigious club.

Rangasthalam has also delivered a convincing performance in overseas markets, especially the United States.

Ram Charan's "Rangasthalam" has now officially become all-time third biggest hit in Tollywood. The filmmakers have even released a new 3 minute long detailed trailer to mark the occasion and shared on their social media page a behind-the-scenes video of the film too. The second song, "Ranga Ranga Rangasthalaana" was released on YouTube in March and garnered more than 2 million within 24 hours of its release. This makes the period drama Telugu film industry's greatest non-Baahubali hit.
