October marks Banita Sandhu's Bollywood debut while it is Varun Dhawan's first film with Shoojit Sircar. Even Varun in an interview had mentioned how the reason why he took up the film is because he connected with the story and was really keen on doing something different from his usual entertainers. It is only India business and film is sure to attract some decent coin from outside India as well because this film would have been nominated for an Oscar if it was released in Hollywood. Although the figures are nowhere close to Varun's previous box office releases, his acting in the film and the fresh storyline has surely won his a lot of appreciation. In fact, the actor revealed how they never discussed BO on the movie sets, in this exclusive interaction with BollywoodLife. The film which began its run with about Rs 5 crore on Friday ended the first weekend with a collection of Rs 20.25 crore. October was not a film that needed that much money. She started shouting from outside the building and created a ruckus when she got to know the security guards were not conveying her messages to his residence.

Starting off, like we told you above, Amazon shelled out Rs. 35 cr for the film.

Made with a budget of approximately Rs 40 crores, October is expected to collect between Rs 25-28 crores at the box office in the first week of its release.
