Watch the New Hotel Artemis Trailer!

The first trailer's arrived for the action thriller Hotel Artemis from screenwriter and first time feature film director Drew Pearce (writer of Iron Man 3, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation). Foster also raised some eyebrows late previous year, when she accused superhero tentpoles of "ruining" the filmgoing habits of Americans.

This first full look at the film introduces us to the "riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles" of 2028, where criminals have their own members-only version of John Wick's Continental Hotel. Only instead of offering a good night's sleep and a nice meal, it's a secret emergency hospital run by Jodie Foster's "The Nurse". Foster plays the hospital's main nurse and overseer. But those three are far from the film's only stars, because the rest of the loaded cast includes Dave Bautista, Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, and Sofia Boutella.

Watch the Hotel Artemis trailer below. Pearce makes his feature length directing debut with the film, which is based on an original story and screenplay that he wrote. Pearce also had a hand in writing the perennially delayed Sherlock Holmes 3 for Robert Downey Jr. and a now cancelled Ghostbusters spinoff that would have starred Channing Tatum, potentially opposite Chris Pratt.

Hotel Artemis has a ridiculously talented cast, and it looks like the upcoming thriller will have more than enough badass characters and action scenes to keep the energy of the trailer going.

From there it seems the rag-tag crew of criminals have to fight their way out of the hotel before The Wolf King (Jeff Goldblum) finds them.

Hotel Artemis will be released on June 8. Sofia Boutella almost kills two people in these 2 minutes and 39 seconds alone!
