Valkyria Chronicles coming to Nintendo Switch

According to the latest update at the recent Sega Fes 2018 event, the next entry in the series will now hit Nintendo's console in the region this fall.

Interestingly, we also get the announcement that the original Valkyria Chronicles will be released for the Switch in Japan this fall exclusively on the eShop.

This will have all previously released downloadable content that, as with Valkyria Chronicles Remastered on PlayStation 4, includes the Hard EX Mode, Edy's Mission, Selvaria's Mission, and Challenge of the Edy Detachment. They also announced that the original game will be coming to the same platform.

Sega released the first Valkyria Chronicles game on the PlayStation 3 in Japan, Europe, and North America in 2008, and released Valkyria Chronicles II on the PlayStation Portable in 2010. The price in Japan of the Switch version will be 7,490 yen (about $70) plus taxes. Those will purchase the initial print of the fourth iteration of the game for the Switch will get a ticket that will enable them to purchase the game for only 500 yen.
