Various Political Party leaders, Judges and Armed forces officers have condemned the recent attack on Justice Ijaz's House.

A resolution condemning the attack on Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice Ijazul Ahsan was submitted in the Punjab Assembly (PA) on Monday. The first incident took place in the night between Saturday and Sunday, while the second occurred on Sunday morning. It is uncertain that were these same assailants that fired the shots earlier or were these two different groups of unarmed assailants.

The Chief Justice is personally monitoring the situation, the statement said, adding that a forensic team has also reached the scene to collect evidence while ballistic experts are called in to determine the nature of fire.

Afterwards, Punjab government formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the incident.

Meanwhile, the cowardly attack raked in support for the Supreme Court judge, one of them being from Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The resolution demanded that the concerning authorities should provide foolproof security to the judges to avoid such incidents in the future. The investigation will be headed by DIG Investigation Sultan Chaudhry.
