"Bijapur is among the 115 aspirational districts identified in January this year. If all people of the district and local administration, public representatives make an effort together then something which has not be done in the past 70 years can be achieved in a short time", he emphasised. The strong words from the Prime Minister also had immediate effect as the two BJP ministers from the state of Jammu and Kashmir resigned.

A newly laid railway line between Gudum and Bhanupratappur was also commissioned through video-conferencing, according to an official release. With the opposition blaming the Prime Minister for not responding on the issues that have been shaking the nation, Modi made some sensational comments. Modi said the government was working on a dual strategy to develop Naxal-affected regions by developing them also trying to bring back the misguided youth back into the mainstream.
