Gigi Hadid helps reveal H&M's next designer collaboration

At the designer's very own Coachella party, the Swedish fashion giant revealed Jeremy Scott of Moschino as this year's guest collaborator.

H&M creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson, commented: "Moschino [tv] H&M is the flawless collaboration for fashion right now, mixing together pop, street culture, logos and also glamour".

News of the collection was revealed at an exclusive party attended by the likes of Cardi B and Emily Ratajkowski, where an Instagram video call between Gigi Hadid and Moschino's creative director Jeremy Scott was projected on digital screens.

For the collaboration, Scott hasn't delved into the Moschino archives, but has designed new collections for women and men, says H&M.

Twenty-two-year-old Hadid also repped the line at the bash, wearing a look from the upcoming collection that shows customers should expect plenty of playful prints, off-beat graphics and a healthy dose of urban appeal. Prices will range from approximately £25 to £300.

Both Hadid and the designer were dressed in the first looks from the Moschino [tv] H&M collection, which will debut November 8, 2018. The collection itself is styled Moschino [tv] H&M.

The pieces will be just as eccentric as Moschino's signature unconventional approach to fashion, with a sequin parka dress, cropped puffer jackets, and a hockey jersey with a train in lieu of traditional eveningwear. He described the vibe of the drop to have "a sportswear-with-evening kind of feeling". "Lots of young people love my clothes. and we make phone cases and little things like that, but in order to have a lewk, I love that this is now something that will be affordable". "This collaboration makes me feel like I'm able to give something again. Menswear is around 20 pieces, plus accessories as well", H&M creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson said. (Balmain already had a go back in 2015.) Meaning: Scott's slightly twisted Barbies and Ken dolls, his Betty Boops and My Little Ponies, will be coming to an H&M near you November 8.
