Dembele wants long stay at Barcelona

Ousmane Dembele has insisted that he wants to remain at Barcelona for a long time despite enduring some difficulties during his first season at the club.

The hugely talented winger joined Barcelona last summer for £97million but he saw his progress hampered by a hamstring injury and he has found it hard to command a regular place in the starting lineup since returning to full fitness.

Since returning to fitness, the France global has struggled to establish himself in Ernesto Valverde's starting XI.

In a somewhat depressing turn of events, it looks like Andres Iniesta is set to end his impeccable 22-year association with Barcelona at the end of the season.

"I'm not in my best form, but little by little, it's coming back".

'I'll be here for a long time'. "I still have to work on my cardio, because I get exhausted very quickly", added the French winger. "I'm not going to leave after a season", he explained, adding that he remains short of peak physical fitness.

Last week was not the finest in Andrés Iniesta's career: after a poor display by him and his team-mates, Barcelona suffered a disastrous exit from the Champions League in Rome.

"He saw that I was close to tears because I hadn't had a good first half", he told Altas Horas, as quoted by AS. "At Dortmund, I didn't have a great lifestyle and I didn't get injured, so it's not that".
