Windows Insider Build 17127 Released with Cortana Improvements

In an effort to tackle the latter for feature updates, like the Creator's Updates Windows 10 has received, Microsoft has shifted parts of the update process around to reduce the amount of "offline" time, which is the time the computer can not be used by the user, bringing the average offline time down to 30 minutes, compared to the Creator's Update average of 82 minutes and Fall Creator's Update average of 51 minutes. This build is from the RS4 branch, which represents the next Windows 10 update the company has yet to announce (but is expected to ship in April). But you already knew that if you're one of the 79% of people that use Firefox or Chrome, because you'll have seen Microsoft checking that you're really really sure you don't want to try Edge before finally relenting.

Users will be able to access the profile page from the Notebook section of Cortana. It's now available in all markets and languages where Cortana is supported.

This will soon extend beyond places to cover your Interests, Family, Accounts and more.

Microsoft said it's seeking feedback on the feature change.

Cortana's Notebook has received an updated design and support for more worldwide languages. Note, some experiences may vary depending on the market you are in. It also will learn to use a default Skill lie Weather, Sports, or News and provide a set of tips for easier management of the digital assistant. Like the previous build, they continue to iron out issues with Windows Mixed Reality, but also includes improvements to Cortana.

Elsewhere in Build 17127, the company is adding default Skills in Cortana's Notebook, tweaking Mixed Reality features and making a host of new changes and fixes for known issues.

We're still investigating some rare instances where newly placed holograms appear empty and the shell may restart when switching between places.
