At least one person was hurt; the San Antonio Fire Department described it as a non-life-threatening "percussion-type" injury at the facility in Schertz, Texas.

The incident occurred overnight in the town of Schertz, an hour south of Austin where four bombs have been planted in recent weeks. Federal agents say the packages are likely linked to what they believe is a serial bomber.

"This is what we have gathered unofficially: shortly after 12 midnight, a package destined for Austin, Texas, detonated at the FedEx distribution facility located at 9935 Doerr Lane".

There were 75 employees inside the building at the time of the explosion, KSAT reported.

Several other packages have exploded recently in Austin, Texas.

Reports said FBI investigators and a local bomb squad were at the scene. The first three bombings were hand delivered, police said. Officials said the scene has been secured.
