This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, like the Infinix Hot S3.

Also, the design of the itel S42 remains similar to the earlier released Infnix Hot S3 and Tecno Camon i Air smartphones, which are also available in the similar price range.

The S42 has a 5.65-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is covered with a 2.5D curved glass.

The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB.

A 5MP rear camera is present on the itel A44, whereas the itel A44 Pro rocks a 8MP rear camera. While on the other hand, the cheaper model, which is the Itel A44 comes packed with a 5.45-inch full screen with a resolution of 480x960 pixels. The A44 Pro has been announced by the company, though the price will be confirmed later this month. The camera system on the S42 is a 13MP snapper with PDAF and a 13MP front-facing sensor, both of which are accompanied by dual-LED flash units. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System.

The entire setup is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.

Itel S42 also has face unlock and fingerprint sensor. Both the Itel A44 and A44 Pro also come equipped with smart key to enable Bike mode function. Apart from the camera, another area where both the devices distinguish themselves is in the memory; the A44 features only 1GB of RAM compared to the smoother 2GB RAM in the A44 Pro. The phone also has 8 megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixels front camera. For photography, it features a 5-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash. The device includes dual-SIM support and is backed by a 2400mAh Li-Polymer battery which as the company claims lasts up to 240 hours on standby. It comes in Black and Champagne colour variants. Both come with protective pack covers as well.

Itel will sell these smartphones only from offline stores and denies the possibility of online presence.
