Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Doctor Strange in the film and is part of the bevy of superheroes who appear in the Marvel magnum opus. Stop. It's just this terrible, brilliant, terrifying, at times amusing, at times very moving, relentless action. Although Marvel Studios is known for their secrecy when it comes to their cinematic projects, Cumberbatch shared that this film is not a slow burn but takes viewers right into the conflict, with a dose of fun and a lot of action.

As for the relationship between Doctor Strange and Tony Stark, which has been teased in the trailers, Cumberbatch shares that there's an interesting dynamic between them as they "don't always attract" but they are "united by a goal that's bigger than either of them", assuring that there are more than "a few one-liners along the way" - something that fans are waiting to see when these two finally meet. You're really thrown in helter-skelter. I like people not understanding my sense of humor. This will just end up as a Daily Mail headline: "CUMBERBATCH: CHAINED TO LAMP POST!"

In the source material, Thanos sends Maw to deal with odd and find out where the Infinity Stones are. [Laughs] He's pretty actively involved, he's got quite an important Infinity Stone that's in his vicinity, and that draws him into the action, as well as a couple of other characters' plights - and stuff happens. That's about all I think I can say. It is fair to assume that Doctor Strange 2 will indeed happen but we will have to wait a while before receiving any official acknowledgement from the top brass.

"I got on very well with Robert Downey Jr".

I got on very well with Robert Downey Jr. He's the most inclusive leading man, and generous to a fault, and just a pleasure to be around.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Sherlock star revealed that the relationship between Stark and unusual will have sparks flying. They don't always attract. But they are united by a objective bigger than anything.

Cumberbatch made his Marvel debut with his standalone film Doctor Strange in 2016, which also raked in huge moolah at the box office. He assured the fans that given the wits of both men, there will be a few one-liners along the way.

Not at the moment, no.

"The masterplan is continually in flux, so it would be out of order for me to speculate", said Cumberbatch when asked if he knew when (and if) Doctor Strange 2 would start filming.

Marvel has been keeping anything and everything to do with Avengers: Infinity War close to their chests, save for what they want us to know.
