Oliver finishes by announcing that Last Week Tonight has released their own book, A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo - a kids' book about two male rabbits who meet and fall in love. Marlon Bundo has become something of a celebrity since he arrived at the White House and this week saw the release of a children's book of his adventures, written by Pence's daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife, Karen, titled Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of the Vice President.

Revenge is a dish best served cold - unless you can get it hot off the presses like John Oliver's new children's book, which is an elaborate way to get even with Vice President Mike Pence. "If there are any Mike Pence supporters watching this, I cannot promise that he is going to come out of tonight's show looking great, but I can promise that I will say something nice about him before this piece is over".

While the late night host was ready to enjoy Bundo and his silly new book without reservation, he noticed that one of the stops on the Bundo book tour included a Focus on the Family event in Colorado.

"This is a real children's book".

Among other late-night hosts, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel offered a short on-air spoof past year of the Pences' Marlon Bundo book.

"It turns out, in a complete coincidence, we also wrote a book about Mike Pence's rabbit that has also been published", Oliver said.

Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of the Vice President tells the story of the life the vice president as he battles to take away people's constitutional rights.

In Oliver's version, there's a "Stink Bug" who looks a lot like Pence, who threatens to ruin Bundo's wedding.

Oliver said that the book is already on sale on Amazon, or According to Oliver, all proceeds will support the Trevor Project, a crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ+ youth, and AIDS United, an organization working to end the AIDS epidemic in the US. "But on this Very Special Day, Marlon's life is about to change forever. Sweet, funny, and beautifully illustrated, this book is dedicated to every bunny who has ever felt different".

There is also a $1.99 Audible audiobook, narrated by Jim Parsons, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, Jack McBrayer, and RuPaul.
