Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more Indiana Jones news as we learn it.

The film is now slated for a release date of July 10th, 2020. If it wasn't enough that Ready Player One is just around the corner, Spielberg dropped in a tidbit in his acceptance speech about another upcoming film of his that we can't wait to see: Indiana Jones 5.

"It's always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK", Spielberg said at the ceremony.

Rumors about a fifth Indiana Jones film has been circling for years since the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull back in 2008. David Koepp is penning the script.

No plot details have been revealed for the film, though Spielberg promised one big thing to fans. Spielberg is nearly having some kind of spiritual race with Star Wars as he wants to keep his Jones franchise alive with it but he never directed Star Wars despite of being offered a number of times. rest of the cast is yet to be finalized since there is more than a year before the camera rolls on this one though they may have finalized the script and perhaps more parts.

It's a reassuring promise after Ford's other most iconic character, Han Solo, saw his demise at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. While rumors persist that the story may be taken from the classic Indiana Jones adventure game/comic book Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis, no details of the story have been spilled beyond the fact that Indiana Jones will not be killed off.

This would be the first "Indiana Jones" movie shot entirely in the United Kingdom.
