Mauro Icardi scored four times, including a first-half hat-trick, as Inter Milan thrashed Sampdoria.

Despite scoring 22 Serie A goals in 24 games this season, Icardi was not included into Argentina's squad for the upcoming friendlies this month against Italy and Spain. After Ivan Perišić had opened the scoring, Icardi was quick to double Inter's lead four minutes later from the spot.

6 - After going on to score two more against Sampdoria to follow his 100th Serie A goal, Icardi hit his sixth Serie A hat-trick.

The players ahead of Icardi on the list are: Giuseppe Meazza, Silvio Piola, Giampiero Boniperti, Felice Borel and Jose Altafini - all legendary footballers. The instinctive back heel and the delicate technique used for the final goal show just why he is so highly rated among viewers of Italian footbal, and how he managed to join the Serie A 100 club at the age of 25.

What's more is that the performance came against Icardi's former team, which always seems to bring the best out in him, such as his brace in Inter's 3-2 win in October.

The Argentina worldwide reached a century in his 180th Serie A match when he confidently rolled home from the penalty spot on the half-hour at Stadio Luigi Ferraris to put Inter 2-0 up after Ivan Perisic's opener.

Four minutes later, Icardi converted a penalty following a foul on Rafinha to reach the century mark.

He then made it 3-0 and moved on to 101 soon after, beating Sampdoria goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano with an audacious backheel from close range.
