News. Given that season two ends with Kevin studying a picture of Jack as he heads to Vietnam, we're interested to see if we might learn more about Jack's military experience and his relationship with his brother. After future Tess and Randall speak the scene cuts to Beth. Instead, we get to see the events which lead up to Deja ending up in the foster care system: Shauna goes out to celebrate her birthday with friends one evening and doesn't return home, nor does she answer any of Deja's phone calls when she accidentally injures herself and has to seek medical attention at the hospital. Deja never met her father as far as we know, and we saw in last week's episode that he wasn't even there for her birth and wasn't around at all in the flashback scenes. There's also no official episode count, but we do know it'll be at least 18 episodes, maybe more. And speaking of Kevin. Fogelman added that Kevin's newfound romance with Zoe, "is a racial dynamic that's interesting for us to explore".

Who do you think Randall and Tess are going to see?

However, a lot of fans think that something may happen to Beth in the future. And I'm not hung up on the literal definition of "seeing" her. "That storyline is going to be a big focus next season", she said in an interview with Extra.

Beth and Randall's marriage will be tested.

. In addition to revealing that Toby (Chris Sullivan) has fallen into a deep depression after his wedding to Kate (Chrissy Metz), the final minutes of the finale featured a flash-forward of Randall (Sterling K. Brown) telling a reluctant Tess that "It's time to go see her". Fogelman also said "it's not conscious that we're not seeing his wedding ring". Now that we've seen them a second time, I have a theory about who it is they're going to meet.
